Agent Mode (beta)

MATE can now do multiple actions on it's own and interact with InDesign directly! E.g. Find text frames -> get content -> translate -> replace. Ask MATE to create frames, apply styles, or modify your document.

Of course, you can still create scripts like before, only now it's called "Script Mode". Nothing else changed.

MCP Server (beta)

Connect (remote) MCP servers to supercharge MATE with extended capabilities. Connect to Notion, Linear, and other web services. Browse the web, get documentation, create QR codes. The possibilities are endless!

New code editor

MATE got a better code editor. Now lines are preserved and you can even collapse code blocks to make working with your script code easier.

UX improvements / bug fixes

A ton of small improvements like "batch delete". Many bug fixes.

Improved code responses

  • code responses are now much more reliably shown as code

  • .jsx exports in UTF-8 format

  • scroll position saved when you come back from a chat viewOf course, you can still create scripts like before, only now it's called "Script Mode". Nothing else changed.
